This client received a wonderful career opportunity that required relocating to Maryland.  After a long search, she found the house that she knew had the potential to become a beautiful home. Panache Interior was invited to transform her entire house into a home that reflects her style and personality. Many years ago, this house was once the model home for a developer, as you can see, it became dated....But not anymore!
The entry point to the house is on the lower level allowing you to enter the house from both the front door and the garage. The large open space has lots of windows and was completely wide open with the exception of a utility room and bathroom. The wet bar area was against the back wall next to the bathroom.

The new floor plan only required two walls and two pocket doors. One long wall to create space for the foyer and a hallway that lead to the In-Law suite.  The 2nd wall completed the 10' x 15' bedroom; along with a pocket door. To the left of the new foyer, another pocket door was installed for complete privacy.

Imagine, only installing two walls and two doors into an open space (it seems so simple). The results! The client's guest is now greeded in the foyer and the value of your home just went up!  An In-Law or Guest suite that includes a bathroom, small eat-in kitchen area and a bedroom with closet.

PHASE 2 - BEFORE
PHASE 1 - BEFORE
To better utilize the space on the main floor, we converted the dining room into an office and the living room into the dining room.
The open concept in the Great Room was large enough to create a floorplan with ample seating for entertaining guest. Prior to the renovation, the living and dining room space was open and divided by columns. A wall was built to seperate the space which allowed us the opportunity to recess the wall in the dining room to accommodate the beautiful buffet. In the office, an additional wall and door was installed for privacy.

PHASE 3 - BEFORE
The final phase, Master Suite, 2 guest bedroom and one bathroom. Initially one of the guest bedrooms was used as an office.  We repurposed the office cabinetry to complete the new office on the main level in phase 1 and converted the room back into a bedroom. The master suite was the main event. Lots of creativity when into designing the perfect suite. The Master bathroom took center stage and it was a "major" transformation.
